About Dream11 IPL 2020 Points Table

Every IPL season, the tournament executives use Points Table in which they note down the Teams stats as per their performance in matches. The primary aim of all eight IPl teams is to end up being the top 4 teams to qualify for the next stage. And then those qualified teams compete to being in the top 2. The top 2 teams then play a final match which clears the final winner of the season. And all that calculation happens with the help of the Dream11 IPL 2020 Points table.

Now, you may be thinking about the point system like how different teams earn points. The point system is the same as the previous year which are:

  1. A team gets 2 points for a win.
  2. A team gets 1 point in case the game ends abruptly as No Result.
  3. A team gets 0 points in case of a loss.

If more than one team is tied with the same number of points then the ‘Net Run Rate’ (NRR) method used at the moment. The NRR of a team is calculated as ‘the number of runs scored by the team to the number of overs faced’ to ‘the number of runs admitted by the team to the number of overs bowled’ in the same match. Well, the chance of teams being tied is very rare but when it happens the NRR method considered.
